The main hormone that affects hair growth is testosterone. Its metabolism at the hair follicle is extremely fast during the anagen phase (hair growth phase), moderate during the catagen phase (hair regression phase) and very low during the telogen phase (regression phase and atrophy of the follicle) . However, when testosterone is in excess, it is converted into dihydrotestosterone by an enzyme called 5 alpha-reductase that produces the opposite effect and thus accelerates hair loss. These are saw palmetto, stinging nettle and pumpkin seed present in the Hair Care Aquasilice who will participate in the inhibition of 5-alpha reductase.
